I’m finally getting around to blogging a little more… Last year I shot one of my best friend’s wedding in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I was honored to serve as the “Best Man”. A couple days before the wedding we photographed a pre-session at the Sandbar Plantation off Old River Road. It was so gorgeous! Last month I made a quick trip to Sarasota for Jordan and Eric’s engagement session. We had planned on photographing at the Ca d’zon, which is the amazing property of John and Mabel Ringling of the Ringling Brothers Circus. However, it was closed for a TBS filming on the one day I was in town . So we hit the streets of downtown Sarasota, the marina and the Ritz-Carlton.
Their wedding is coming up this Saturday and I’m super excited about being a part of their weekend. Prior to our time together I was slated to fly in late on Friday and return early on Sunday. However, the plan has progressively developed. Now Eric planned a Bern’s Steak House night on Thursday, fishing with the guys on Friday and well you know… Wedding on Saturday. I should work a little I suppose. Maybe I’ll fly back in the afternoon just in case I work too hard… Cheers to new friends that happen to be clients!

I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Lauren Skaar and Michael Vartan last month at Pelican Hill Resort in Newport Coast, California. Most of you probably remember the TV hit series Alias and movies like Never Been Kissed. Now Michael Vartan is co-staring on the TNT drama Hawthorne. He is such a down to earth guy and I admire his “farm-kid” roots. The couple met at a Whole Foods in LA a couple years ago and never looked back! It was a true pleasure to work with Lauren and Michael throughout the entire process.
Before I made a blog post I had to wait until the photos published in People Magazine and a couple other places. Despite the gloomy day I still thought we captured some great images. Thank you to all the wonderful vendors who worked on this wedding. Enjoy!
