Hey Everyone,

I’m offering a private one on one session on Monday at WPPI. This is a chance to sit down and learn anything you want; marketing, photoshop, workflow, shooting, pricing, a business or portfolio critic or etc… Maybe even a little Bourbon knowledge will be shed. I’m only doing one so consider it your very own private four hour workshop. If you are a husband and wife team you can both come. Then consider me as friend and a source for advise or tips in the future!

For more details or register check out the link: http://vcs1on1.eventbrite.com/

Included in session:

- Lunch
- Lightroom Workflow PDF
- Lightroom Presets
- and More…

I’m really excited about the mentor shoot at WPPI this year. Last year’s shoot went great and we had a ton of fun. However, we are stepping up the game for 2010. I’ve brought on Summer of Grey Likes Weddings to help style the set. Spaces are limited so get more details and register at the link: http://vcsmentorsession.eventbrite.com/

On day 2 we photographed two different couples with two very different styles. The first session we did a mock getting ready and first meeting and shot close to the hotel and around Champs-Elysees. Then with the second session we had a nice walking route with the couple that included the Louvre.  Enjoy!

Back in September Jay Reilly and I did a two day workshop together in Paris. I’ve been meaning to post these but life and other business just got in the way. We moved to LA and the holiday season came flooding like the rain last week. So I’m finally starting to get catch up on blogging. Look for several more wedding posts from the end of last year. The photos below were from our mock engagement session on ‘Day One’. The next post will be ‘Day Two’ from our two bridal couples.

Crazy, no one was at the Eiffel Tower that day, yeah right!

Backlight and lens flare.

This was one smokin’ group of Bridesmaids! There were certainly enough of them too… The bride, Elizabeth Arnold was Miss Kentucky in 2002. We also have Miss Georgia, Miss Toronto, and an America’s Next Top Model. Then a sexy sister maid of honor and all the other beautiful Kentucky and California friends! Wow…

This photo was just a quick edit the night I got home from the wedding from my jpg files. I’ll probably do a cleaner final version. I merged five separate shots for one composite image. I only had one video light so I had Regis spot the girls in groups of two and three while I took the shots from the same position and focal length.

Here are a few shots of us on day one from Jay Reilly and I’s workshop in Paris. I swear I was teaching too but Jay shot video of me for the promo. More images to come of Day 2 and some of our finished photos of the couples.

A couple months ago I attended the SEO Workshop that Lawrence conducted in Orange County at the Ritz-Carlton. I really enjoyed learning about the way Google works and ‘Search Engine Optimization.’ All the information you need to know is condensed into a one-day seminar and laid out for everyone to understand. I immediately implemented the techniques they showed us and saw results even before leaving the Ritz! Since then I’ve back dated a lot of my blog posts and optimized them for Google and other search engines. I have seen results! I have gotten inquiries directly from Google searches. Including a job taking me to Rome, Italy in November and the One and Only Palmilla in Cabo in February. So I encourage everyone to check it out… There are a few spots left and registration closes soon!

Jessica’s 30th birthday party was a blast!  We when old school playground style. Her fiance, Jeff, and I teamed up to plan the party, we had team shirts, headbands, the works. We started off with a kickball game then moved onto the beach for hotdogs, smores and a bonfire!  Jeff and I were the team captains and since I hate to lose, there was a bit of competition.  We won despite one of my higher draft picks, Mark Brooke, leaving me high and dry on game day!  Here are the pics from Jessica blog, shot by her, Michael and others.
