I finally got around to finishing all my processing from the Mentor Session in Las Vegas. We had an amazing group of people and I want to thank everyone involved. Summer of Grey Likes Weddings made a great post a couple days ago. My models/clients/friends Diane and Kevin just got married last weekend in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico at an amazing place called Villa Verono. Anna our bride model was a bridesmaid and in full effect! I look forward to getting those images out soon, enjoy.

Here’s a little teaser from my buddy Hector’s wedding in Baton Rouge. As the “Bestman”, invitation designer and part-time photographer I had a lot to do the week of the wedding. Not to mention plan a batcholer party in New Orleans, that was tough but rewarding… Hector and Beth didn’t want to see each other the day of the wedding so we did a pre-shoot at Beth’s friends historic plantation home called Sandbar. It is across the river from downtown on Old River Road and sits on the now levied bank of the mighty Mississippi River. Here’s one of my favorites and more to come soon!

I promise I’m going to make a full post soon! I’ve shot 7 engagement sessions since I was in Vegas. Three in San Francisco, three in New York City and one in LA.

Last month I traveled to Charleston, South Carolina to photograph Catherine’s bridal session and her and Jason’s engagement session as well. Charleston is such an awesome city! Despite it’s rich southern culture of food, architecture, and hospitality it has so much history. The first shot of the civil war was fired at Fort Sumter on April 12, 1861. Anyway, check out how amazingly beautiful Catherine looked in her dress around town. Then stay tuned this week for their engagement and wedding posts.

I shot Alicia’s bridal session last fall in Chicago and this coming weekend is the wedding.
You have to love the Midwest weather. Meteorologist have the only job that I know who can always be wrong but still keep their job and get paid for it! Anyway, we kind of got a late started around 1PM and it was sprinkling rain as we pulled up to Buckingham Fountain. I chose to start there because we had a really cool lighting situation with the sky over the lake being stormy and dark, then the sun started breaking through in the city. The awesome thing was nobody was in the park which was very unusual!
After a slightly unplanned detour we made it to the second location, the planetarium with the typical Chicago skyline view. Then we headed back down to the meat packing district and on to Wrigley Field to finish the shoot. Check it out…
