Jared and I flew to Orlando to shoot the finally with the contest winner Brian and his FAVE 5 from Vancouver, Washington. Brian gets a chance to shoot Dwayne Wade in a game of FAVES which is like Horse to win $50,000. Here’s a quick shot of us on the floor in the Amway Arena. Tonight is game three of the Eastern Conference finals between the Magic and Cavs. The contest will air Tuesday night in game four, check it out!

Diane and Kevin originally wanted to shoot their engagement session on the beach and I thought, argh!!! (Very pirate like as well) I hate shooting at the beach too much! I try to only shoot 2 or 3 engagement sessions at the beach per year, for those couple that really, really love it or want some ocean and are not even getting married close. Anyway, Diane and Kevin are such a stylish couple this shoot suited them much better. When Diane emailed me with the option of shooting at their friends Bed and Breakfast I was all over it! The place is called Korakia Pensione in Palm Springs, it’s an awesome Moroccan style villa.
They even had one of the best rooms lined up to shoot in and for Rachael and I to spend the night; however, we had to bring the kids and couldn’t use the room, bummer! We ended up staying at the Ace Hotel which was super cool and very kid friendly. Two huge salt water pools, killer food and bourbon selection. The waiter rode a skateboard around to deliver food and drinks by the pool. Anyway, Diane and Kevin were such an easy couple to shoot. I’m really looking forward to their wedding next May in Mexico. Diane may also be our model for the 2nd Annual WPPI Mentor shoot in Las Vegas. Enjoy…

I was scheduled to make this post on Monday but here it is Friday already… I got a bit behind this week with the Stone Brewery tour and wrapping up production on the T-Mobile job. I know Erin and TJ are checking everyday while they are honeymooning in the Cook Islands. Haha, I hope not but maybe… Part-I recapped on the amazing vendors, decor and some details. This post is a mix of everything else and a lot of portraits of the couple. We are turning over a slideshow for their Japanese ceremony in June. So I edited some extra images for the DVD. I also developed a new recipe with the Totally Rad Actions. Enjoy!

You gotta love those shoes, I do! Wish I had a pair without the heel of course. I only need three inch.

First meeting.

I had Erin stand on one of the reception table for this shot. The pin spot was perfect!

We started a little dance party before the ceremony…

Here’s the accompanying shot that goes with the teaser photo posted last week.

I think that was Sake they were drinking, that’s fun!

No one ever quite know to throw the petals on the chairs…

“Everyone do the ‘Erin’!” That’s was one of our theme shots for the day.

The back of Erin’s dress was so unique I have like a hundred shots of them walking away. This one at least you catch a glimpse of them in the mirror.

Erin’s uncle played the bagpipes as they entered the cocktail hour on the Pacific Lawn.

They score really well on their ‘First Dance’ as well!

The band was awesome, they had different singers to perform a wide range of music. It was at least a 20 piece band.
We had a fabulous wedding Saturday at the St. Regis in Monarch Beach. Erin & TJ, bridal party and families were such a pleasure to work with throughout the day. This first post concentrates on the decor and the amazing transformation of the Pacific Ballroom. The design theme of the wedding was a 40s style Jazz feel with an art deco flare done in all black and white with small touches of red. The entire room was draped in white fabric, carpeted black, with a black and white glossy dance floor with the couple’s crest gobo. There were also two levels built around the edge of the ballroom so it terraced the dinner tables down to the dance floor. Even the railing was art deco and it felt like you were in a Jazz Club. There was a full orchestra band which had amazing range from the classics to Michael Jackson. Stay tuned for the second post this week, enjoy!
Below is the amazing vendor line up:
Jeannie Savage – Details, Details
Christopher Aldama – Fiori Fresco
Alex and Julie Hill – Elysium Productions
R. Mine Bridal – Dress design with Erin

Saturday I shot Erin and TJ’s wedding at the St. Regis. Here’s a preview of Erin and her style to set the tone for my next post. She designed her own dress to fit a 40s Jazzish feel with a Japanese Kimono influence. Awesome!
