Last weekend I shot an amazing wedding at a private villa in Punta de Mita, Mexico which is about 45 minutes outside Puerto Vallarta. Brita and Ryan were awesome to work with and just wanted everyone to have a great time. They had a very lively crowd with lots of fun entertainment throughout the evening including: Mariachi, Pinyatas, a Tequila Bar, a Texas Southern Rock cover band, Neurotic City 80s singer, a rockin’ DJ, Fire Dancers, Gogo Dancers and more… Here are some shots of the bridal party before the ceremony and this week I’ll post all the amazing details from the party! Enjoy and stay tuned for Part II.
Below are some of the amazing people who worked hard to make this event spectacular!
Christopher Aldama of Fiori Fresco- Event Designer and Producer
Jeannie Savage, Wedding Planner
Alex Hill of Elysium Productions

Wedding
Adam and Dana were married a couple weeks ago at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. We had a beautiful spring day with the Dogwood trees in full bloom. It was fun to see several familiar faces at the wedding including Dana’s cousin, Steven, who got married last year to Lindsay. The reception was pumping with the band keeping everyone out on the dance floor.
I hope Adam and Dana have a great time on their honeymoon in South Africa and I’m looking forward to Adam returning to the basketball court again soon.
Check out some of my favorites…

The Extreme Makeover: Home Edition that I worked on last month premiers this Sunday, March 29th at 8/7c on ABC. The Almquist Family is a grateful, gracious and deserving family. Ty and the gang go to Phelan, CA to help a family dedicated to protecting the wildlife community build a stronger and safer home. This episode is a two hour special so be sure to watch the very unique build! Here are some of the behind the scene shots I captured for SC Homes one of the main two builders. CLICK HERE to see a short timelaps of the week.

The gang showed up early that morning to surprise the family. Jeff Corwin showed up to do a special bit on the animals. Julie was interviewing on of the case members.

Shots of the ‘Braveheart March’ as they call it to tear down the house. Photos of SC Home crew in from of their project. Random shots of the cast. Then finally my 4 day timelaps set-up on the corner of the hospitality tent.

A couple weeks ago Matt and Molly were kind enough to let me photograph them around LA. I wanted to do a fun shoot in less traditional wedding attire as well as try out some new locations. We hit a few spots I’ve know about for a while but never had the opportunity to shoot. One spot was Zanzabelle in Silver Lake, it’s a quirky and unusual place to say the least. They have odd gifts, ice cream and a lunch menu.
However, the best part is their unbelievable dinners on Friday and Saturday night. The menu changes every weekend and ranges from a gourmet cuban sandwich to a four course dinner. It’s so chill, like having dinner at someone’s house. Rach and I went with friends one night a couple weeks ago and this was our meal below.
Appetizer – Salmon Ceveche with a jicama slaw
Main Course – Hanger Steak with Spanish Chorizo wild rice cakes
Dessert – Cayenne Chocolate Moose with Almond infused ice cream topped with sea salt
It’s also BYOB, no corkage fee, so we had two nice bottles red wine and a bottle of Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection – Four Grain! That was an amazing meal for $22, no joke! They do not turn the tables so you can sit and chill until closing time around 11PM. They only seat about 20 people per night. If you go call ahead for the menu and make a reservation. Tell Matt I sent you!
Enjoy the photos!
