Wedding
Allison and Jason had a fabulous wedding in the East Bay earlier this month. We started our day in San Mateo at the Japanese Tea Garden. After their first meeting and a few shots we headed out to Ruby Hills Golf Course. I had a chance to catch up with Jamie, one of my former brides, on the drive. Despite the windy weather we got some great shots and it was a very smooth and relaxing day. Here are a few of my favorites…

Wedding
Nicolette and Tom had a beautiful wedding at the Langham Hotel. They came out from New York City to tie the knot! The Langham was extremely busy on October 4th for some reason, I think everywhere was busy… As the day threaten rain we pushed on with an outdoor ceremony in the Japanese Garden, it paid off! The weather held out and it made a huge difference in the experience and photos. The back up ballroom was hardly sufficient for their celebration. Carolyn Chen did a great job of managing the day and Asiel Designs provided the fabulous decor.

Wedding
I had a full weekend in the Bay Area this weekend with two weddings and two engagement shoots! The first wedding was Friday on my Birthday (Big 3 – 0!) up in Sacramento our fine state capital. It was my first time there and I enjoyed the city but it was a bit windy and dusty during out shoot. We managed to overcome those obstacles pretty easily. I really loved the ‘Old Sac’ area even though it is a classic tourist trap. It was fun to shoot around that area. Heather and Sean had an 800 guest wedding, crazy! I actually ran into a girl I went to collage with too. The last time I saw Hannah was at different wedding in Hawaii. Check out some of my favorites!

I want to thank everyone that attended ImageX08 and a special shout out to those who registered for my class. I hope everyone enjoyed my program on shooting and Lightroom workflow, as well as the free presets! I enjoyed meeting so many talented photographers from all over the U.S. and abroad. New Orleans truly is a special place and I’m glad ImageX kicked-off in the ‘Big Easy’! Special thanks to all the models and my friends Hector and Beth! Here are a few shots from class and that I edited that day, enjoy!

We’re all headed down to New Awlins (New Orleans) Sunday for a great seminar this week! I can’t wait to meet all the photographers that are coming down to attend. There are over 130 and we have a lot of fun things in store besides the presentations. There is still time for last minute sign-ups for local and regional photographers so pack a bag and grab your gear and come on down to the Big Easy!

Engagement
This was the second great engagement session I shot last week. It was in Boulder, Colorado which is an awesome city and set in a very picturesque area. The mountains are amazing! Megan and Kyle met at CU and we even shot the second part of the session at a football game. The Buffalos took down the West Virginia Mountaineers 17-14 in overtime! It was a great site seeing Ralphie run around the field before the game and during half-time. Ralphie is the CU buffalo mascot! Check out some of my favs!

Engagement
Last week I shot two killer engagement sessions and this was the first one in downtown LA. Erin and TJ had a two part engagement session; one at Rrivreworks, which is a prop house that does amazing set ups. We were going for a 40′s style shoot to use for their ‘Save the Dates’. Then after a break we finished up south of downtown around some warehouses and finally pulling in the skyline on the edge of dark. Their wedding should be an amazing event next year at the St. Regis! Here are a few of my favorites from the day, enjoy…
