Engagement
Diana and Oscar had a very action packed engagement session scheduled! They picked me up at the W Hotel in Westwood and we started at the Getty in Malibu. Normally you can shoot some casual type photos there however they were dressed a little more formal to start so we get booted very quickly. Then after a stop for lunch and hair change at Fred Segal we were off to the Viceroy Hotel for some fun, funky, and green photos! Finally we hit Pinkberry and ended on the streets of Westwood. Their wedding is in June at the Langham Hotel in Pasadena.

Hey Everyone,
I’m passing this along for a photographer named Kirsten Lewis. I’ve never met her but I love her passion and sense of adventure! I also think it is a worthy cause so I donated just before making this post. “It often starts with the one to change the many…”
Please take a moment to check it out and give a little. Thanks, vcs

Wedding
After Kira and Peter’s snowy engagement session the wedding was quite the opposite. It was really hot for a Saturday in March. We were just off the 405 at the Skirball Cultural Center. The bridal party got ready at the Luxe Hotel and we did the first meeting there as well. Kira and Peter had a Asian theme going for the wedding with lots of entertainment for the guest; including Taiko Drummers, Lion Performance, and Polynesian Dancers! Wow! We also had a great team to work the wedding: Kelley Gin with Picture Perfect Events, Alex and Julie Hill with Elysium Productions, Cake Divas, Orbit One DJ and Commerce Flowers.

Kira had an amazing Monique Lhuillier dress!

I love this shot!

Kira was all smiles, all day and lots of fun!

Yours truly in action…

They had like 15 kids in the wedding, it was great for the photos.

Flying cherry blossoms…

Peter dancing a little jig before the wedding and you gotta love Grandpa in the shades!

Taiko drummers

Unique ring shot with a couple butterflies that stuck around after the release at the ceremony.

Hula dancers in actions, the little flower girls were in definitely entertained.

The Sizemore Easter egg hunt in the backyard. California backyards are just a bit smaller than what I was used to growing up in Kentucky! We had to get creative in our hiding. Enjoy…

Elijah is trying to figure out some tricky hiding spots and Sam found all the eggs under the pillows.

A true “country girl” posing with her camo egg!

Does everyone remember the big teeth phase?

Evie is doing her best Daddy impression from the photobooth…

Sam’s trying to figure out that hippo egg, looks like he’s already had some chocolate.

Wedding
Last Saturday’s wedding was at La Rinconada Country Club in Los Gatos, CA. Sherry and Dave had a great wedding and overall day, it was beautiful in Silicon Valley! We starting photographing the girls at this awesome house in Monte Sereno. Sherry had nannied for these people for a few years and they were kind enough to open their home for us to get some awesome photos. I also got a chance to catch up with two other couples that I shot May 2006. Check it out…

These guys were too cute!

Wow! We had a great crowd last night at the house, I’m guessing somewhere between 75-85 people. I wanted to thank everyone that came out and for all the people who donated awesome door prizes. Check out a couple shots that I got from Beckers blog and then I’m going to post some Red Cheese photobooth shots later this week.
Special thanks: Graphi Studio, Totally Rad Action Mix, Color Plak, Shoot Sac, Project Work Room, Showit Web, Into The Darkroom, [b] School, Laguna Albums, and Red Cheese.

Me and the beckster!
