Alyssa and David had a wonderful wedding on Saturday at the St. Regis. Everything when perfectly! Lisa Simpson coordinated along with Marcia Johnson providing the beautiful decor! I had fun with the couple last winter in New York when we shot the engagement session, so we picked up where we left off. Check out a few of my favorites…

I have been meaning to make this post for a month! Rachael took the kids for a trim and Elijah requested a ‘buzz’ cut so here’s the before and after shots.

A couple weeks ago while in Hawaii I shot Christy and Stefan’s engagement session, their wedding is coming up in September. This time the family is going with me for vacation. We plan to do all the cool stuff: swim with dolphins, feed giant sea turtles, snorkel, walk the largest maze in the world at the Dole pineapple plant, watch the Paradise Cove Lu’au, eat lots of Shave Ice, visit Pearl Harbor, surf, and golf.

Sunday’s wedding went very well in the OC! Patrick was a groomsmen in a wedding I shot last October. He and Jackie were so excited to be married and the day flew by we were having so much fun. The ceremony was at Mariners Church and they left in a vintage Rolls Royce. I got a great motion shot coming across Newport Coast Drive on our way to the giant columns at PCH. Caitlin was like a stunt car driver, speeding up and slowing down for me to get the right angle and tree line in the background. The day was coordinated by Julie Burke and Essence Entertainment who brought a nine piece band kept everyone on the dance floor all night! Besides my color coordinated photo with the bridesmaids, my favorite part of the night was the bouquet and garter toss. There were probably 50 single ladies on the dance floor, I hope that translates to a lot of future business… Then Pat flung the garter so far all the guys scrambled and were diving for the prize, lots of action!

Saturday we shot at the Ritz-Carlton in Pasadena and boy was it hot, 97! Luckily it cooled down before the ceremony which was in the Japanese Gardens, a beautiful setting with a stream and waterfall that runs through the middle. The couple and bridal party actually stand on the bridge during the ceremony. The day went very smooth thanks to Carolyn Chen and her awesome team. Derek and Jaime were so easy to photograph and so laid back! Below are a few of my favorites…

Thusday Blake and I spent all day scouting the greater Falmouth area in Cape Cod. I’ve never been to a bigger “small town.” We were in N, S, E, and W Falmouth, Woods Hole and all the local beaches! The planning really paid off on Friday, we shot all the locations we wanted in a very short amount of time. We couldn’t have order more beautiful weather for a summer day in New England. The light was absolutely amazing! One of my favorite things besides the lobster dinner was the 1932 Ford car that Sabrina and Jody rolled in.

Blake and I just got back from the Sox game against the Devil Rays! Fenway is awesome, way more than I ever expected! It’s like a trip back in time, such a mecca for baseball history. I can’t wait to come back and bring my boys, I think we’ll sit on the “Green Monster” next time.

Back at the Trump again last Saturday after Chris and Charlene’s wedding last Sunday. We had a great wedding! It’s really amazing how different each wedding turns out to be. I’m not just talking about the decor or people, I’m talking about in photography terms. I could have shot Trump the exact same way as last week but I didn’t and more importantly the light allowed me to shoot different areas. Alicia and Tyler meet in the University of Michigan band, they had a very cool engagement book which we shot in Pasadena leading up to the Rose Bowl. They supported a little Wolverine spirit! Carla Domen did an excellent job coordinating the “Master Plan.” Check out some of my favorites…

Earlier this week I shot the new dress line for ‘Becoming Mrs’ bridal couture. We photographed 18 dress and 3 wonderful models for Alica Chang. Sherry from On Location Beauty did the hair and make-up. We set up the studio at Wedding Life in Irvine. I love these dresses, if I was a bride getting married these are the style I would go for!
