I worked hard on Saturday and Sunday, it was a long weekend! Don’t get me wrong I love weddings but it was time for a little “Man” time. So I decided to go fishing out of Point Loma with my buddy Joe Latter. We got to the dock about 9PM on Sunday night and loaded the Eldorado an 85 foot sport-fisher for a day and a half trip. We woke up at sea in Mexican waters about 50 miles from San Diego on Monday morning at gray-light looking for fish. Below are a couple shots of Joe and I with our catch, not great compared to other trips but equally as fun and tasty. This was my first Yellowtail catch so the crew made me eat the heart, it was about the size of a golf ball! I did it like a champ, one of the deck hands said it was the best he had ever seen someone take down the heart, one of the other guys barfed trying.

For the sushi lovers out there, this is what a Yellowtail or Hamachi looks like fresh from the ocean.

Joe caught two!

Here’s some Yellowtail sashimi, rolls, and spicy Yellowtail that I made last night.
