My sister’s wedding was yesterday in Madison, Wisconsin and everything went awesome! But that’s not what this post is about, sorry Luke… No, no, no… I shot an engagement session today in Chicago and still managed to pick up an iPhone! Check it out, it’s really on spot and has fulfilled all the “talk”.

Saturday I worked a little far from home and it was HOT but worth the trek! Vanessa and Warren were awesome to work with and it really shows in the photos. They were willing to do anything I asked them and Warren even drove his car in the dirt… He brought out his ’66 Corvette so we take some shots with it in the canyon. My buddy Blake shot with me and he caught a really good one of me in action too! Check it out! << SLIDESHOW HERE >>

Engagement
This is part one of a two part post for June engagement sessions. The first is Jaime and Derek, they are getting married in August at the Ritz-Carlton in Pasadena so we thought it would be fitting to shoot the session close to home. There are tons of fun places in Pasadena and “Old Town.” The second session was shot at Pomona College which is the biggest of the five Claremont colleges. It’s a beautiful campus and reminds me a lot of the some of the east-coast schools. Sabrina graduated from Pomona and Jody is from Cape Code and the wedding will be there in August. I’m really looking forward to the clam-bake!

On Sunday we had Evie’s third birthday party with what else a “Princess” theme. We had cup cakes, crafts & glitter, a bounce house, and even a face painter! Thanks to Caitlin we got some great shots of all the tots. I told Rach she’s not having another party until she’s sixteen!

For the second consecutive Saturday I was shooting at the Hyatt in Huntington Beach and yet another successful and different style shoot. It’s great that the property is so big we are able to mix it up enough to shoot different things week to week. Anyway, Christina and Tim and their guest were great to work with, everything went off without a hitch. I also got to work with my friend Sherry McAnelly of On Location Beauty for the second week too! Girls if your looking for a hair and make-up artist she’s awesome! Check out some of the shots….

Wedding
Sunday I shot at the Montage for the second time this month, it seemed to be a little less busy from last week’s holiday weekend. We had a great crew again: Alex and Julie (Elysium Productions), Nisie (Enchanted Florist), Ruth Wang (Plan to Perfection) and the Stewart Turner Band. Sam and Kerwin had already had a load of photos in China and were actually going for another wedding next week in Hong Kong, something like 500 people. They didn’t need me on that one, bummer! Anyway, the beauty of the Montage setting is hard to beat. They had a really unique ceremony setup with everyone facing them in a circle with four isles. Check out a few of my favorites from the day.

Wedding
Despite the massive size of the Hyatt in Huntington Beach it was still a ZOO on Saturday! Here were all the events taking place: Laguna Beach HS Prom, a kids rally, a convention, a Bar Mitzvah and four weddings including mine, WOW… However, we managed to have a great shoot. My bridal party was a lot of fun, I gave the girls kind of a hard time since the guys were so loose. It was probably due to all the alcohol consumed before the ceremony. There was a small altercation coming back from the beach across the Hyatt bridge. Another photographer was with his bridal party, claiming to be waiting on his bride, but starts shooting the details of my brides dress. I really didn’t think it was apropreit and when I confronted him he just flat out lied, oh well… It was a killer dress with all sorts of vinatge bead work and embrodery. I hope he got a good portfolio shot!

I took Asa and Elijah to the Angel Game on Friday mainly for the fireworks. They can hardly sit still during the game especially with all the people and food! The Angel’s won and we got to see Shields pitch so it was a great time all around!
