Kids
I figured with the extra hour of sleep tonight I could stay up late and update the blog! Here are a few shots I took of Evie and Sam in the yard yesterday. The boys and I already carved their pumpkins: Elijah wanted Superman and Asa wanted Spiderman. So I had to brush up on my carving skills this year. Believe it or not I made a business out of carving custom pumpkins for two seasons when I was in high school, I really did…

On the photo below I tried out a new action I wrote, not bad!

I was a little rusty with my lensbaby but I got a few shots in focus…

Wedding
This was a very special wedding for me to shoot on Sunday. I have known Cari for about three years now and two of which she babysat our kids so her and Morgan became part of our family. Asa and Elijah were bell ringers in the wedding. It was possibily the largest bridal party I have worked with: 22 attendants, 6 kids, and a bride & groom, 30 all together! We had a fun shoot however we did more driving than shooting. We covered a lot of ground… I picked them up in Anahiem at the hotel then we went to 7th Street downtown, Disney Concert Hall, Union Station, and back through Old Town Pasadena on our way to Fullerton for the ceremony. It was awesome covering that much ground and shooting with cool urban backgrounds. Below are a few of my favorites shots then you can link to the slideshow HERE.

I just found this image from that May took from Elizabeth and Derek’s wedding at Pala Mesa on October 7th… I used this woodpile to shoot a shot down of them and with the whole valley in the background, it called for a dramatic dip! See the post a few spots down…

Another great wedding on Sunday despite the gloomy weather in Pasadena. Cal Tech is always a great photo opt but you can’t beat the style of “Old Town.”

On Saturday we were at the St. Regis with a great crew Peter Papadopoulos and Marla Lackey. Tim and Mia lucked out we inched by the rain all weekend along… It made for great infrared clouds!

This weekend I shot out in Fallbrook at Pala Mesa Resort. It was my first time to shoot there and it was a great wedding! This was the third wedding from this particular group of friends so I knew a lot of people there and it was a blast working.

I shot a quick, I mean quick engagement session with Elizabeth and Derek this morning. Their wedding is Saturday out at Pala Mesa Resort and they need a fast turn around time for the shots. Here are a few I gave them to choose from on the fly…

Wedding
On Saturday I shot at the newly remodeled ($37 Million) Fairmont in Irvine. I believe it was the first wedding since completion, can anyone say “referral list.” Anyway, the first set of photos are from Anh and Joseph’s wedding. They are currently on their way to Europe for a nearly three week honeymoon, awesome!

On Sunday I shot at the Ritz-Carlton in Pasadena another amazing wedding. Everyone involved did a spectacular job making every detail perfect and everything run smoothly, the rain even held off! Holly and Darwin are a great couple and very talented. They met while both working on a cruise ship, she an actress and he a musician. They will be headed back to live in Saskatewa, Canada where Darwin is from, after their Jamacian honeymoon. Below are a few shots from the day…
