July 2006

Tonight we shot in Beverly Hills at the Four Seasons and my celebrately streak continues! Jon and I saw Steve Carell, Edward Norton, Jessica Biel, and some other guy I reconnized but can’t place the name. Anyway, back to wedding stuff… The church was off Santa Monica Blvd. so afterwards we took some shots at “Two Rodeo Drive.” I was lucky because the kind people who manage the property allowed me to shoot Cecilia and Adrian on property. This was same location for the LA Weddings Magazine Party last week. The reception was as live as I have ever experienced and the grand entrance like no other. They warmed up the guests on the dance floor with a couple latin songs before they brought Cecilia and Adrian out to the middle of the mob! Here are a few of my favorites from today!

This is my buddy Dan… He is one of my only single friends left. In the last couple years we have traveled all over together. He is a soccer coach at APU and my boys call him “Coach Dan.” I’m in the process of trying to fix him up with a hot chic that works at “The Loft” in Ladera. She actually does some second shooting for “The Becker” I believe. Anyway, if there are any other takers out there please let me know!

He likes soccer, art, and long walks on the beach…

It was the hottest weekend of the summer, at least let’s hope it was! It was in the 100s in the OC and 115 in the valley on Saturday, wow! Below are a few shots from the weekend. Enjoy!

I was fortunate enough to shoot the Fall/Winter launch party of the Los Angeles Weddings Magazine new issue. The party was held at Two Rodeo Drive, you know by Tiffany & Co. It was a beautiful evening all around! Below are a few shots and I’m waiting on Jules to post to her blog so I can steal a few more.

All the girls from LA Magazine/Weddings

I just thought I would post them really quick for a mid-week entry to the blog… Jason and Kristen are both pilots and they had this old pink Chrysler Imperial for the wedding but it brokedown on the way. It still worked out because of the area, we just swung by after an got a few shots.

This weekend was great but very hot! Here are a few of the more unique shots from Lisa and Jimmy’s wedding at the Laguna Cliffs Marriot in Dana Point. I think they were the first out of their friends to get married. No joke, there were at least 40 girls and 40 guys on the dance floor during the bouquet and garder toss. Jeannie Savage was the coordinator and a personal friend of the groom. Keith Laverty did an amazing job on the decor as always!

Yesterday one of my best friends got married in Santa Barbara. It was great seeing a lot of old friends! The first photo is of me and Brian, then me and all of the boys. During the reception I got to hang a little bit… One of my other best friends was down from Oregon, Jared was the bestman in my wedding. We had a lot of fun shooting with the snap shot cameras on the table. At one point I was using three. They were a lot lighter than my camera! So stay tuned for those photos, who knows what you’ll see…

Traveling east yesterday we lost 6 hours in time zones and had two layovers. We flew from Maui to O’auh, O’auh to Chicago, then on to Buffalo but we made it. While we were in the Honolulu airport we saw Rose and Keoni, they were clients of mine March of 2003 and my first Hawaii wedding. As you might remember I shot a wedding in Las Vegas this March at the Bellagio and Monte Carlo, that was Rose’s brother!

Anyway, we checked into our Garden Inn Hilton across from the airport today and after a bit of rest decided to go catch Superman Returns. As we left the hotel we ran into Tony Hawk, the only skateboard/X-games person that I would ever recognize. Of all the places and time, he was walking up to the elevator as we were getting out.

Ho’omaika’i'ia’oe (Congratulations) Kim and Josh! We had a great wedding today, the weather was perfect! Here are a few of my favorites from today it was so hard to choose… Click here to see the complete slideshow. Enjoy.

We made it to Maui okay… Yesterday we did a pre-wedding casual shoot with Kim and Josh on Ironwood Beach which is just down from the Ritz-Carlton where the wedding is today! The ocean and sky have been beautiful despite the windy conditions so we’ll see how it goes today. Stay tuned for the wedding photos!
