It’s lonely at home right now, everyone is gone! Rachael and the babies are gone to Minnesota to visit family with my mother-in-law. The boys are down in Fallbrook with my father-in-law. I went down on Monday to hang out a bit with them. I took the scenic route to explore a little, I drove Ortega Hwy over to Lake Ellsinore. For a minute I forgot I was in California… I came across a “General Store” that sells wild game meat, a homemade candy store, and a biker bar! I can’t wait to check these places out on my next trip.

Yesterday I had lunch with two photographers from San Diego. Maurice and Amy, check out there site. Then last night I got up with Doug Boutwell for a couple drinks and we shot some pool at a bar called Mugs Away. Doug turned me onto the place and life will never be the same. I recommend that everyone should go there on the Fourth of July for a little extra surprise!

Here are a few of my favorite images from Sunday’s wedding. The ceremony was at South Shores Church off Crown Valley, amazing view! Then the reception was in Coto de Caza. The weather has been absolutely awesome for weddings the last several weekends. Blue skies, clouds, what more can you ask for…

Tomorrow I fly out to the Bay area to hang with my sis and Mom for a few days and some much needed rest. My little cousin may also join us later in the week. I am looking forward to some great seafood! On Friday I shoot an engagement session then Saturday on to San Jose for my friend Camron’s wedding at the Radonich Family Ranch. This weekend was pretty busy in all. I had a wedding on Friday in Fallbrook at a place called Grand Traditions and on Saturday in Laguna at Laguna Village. Both were great weddings, awesome weather and the clouds were amazing! Saturday’s wedding was extra special since I knew several people there from college days. Then this weekend I travel to San Jose to shoot the bride’s brother’s wedding who I played baseball with in college. I will see a lot of the same people from Saturday and more old friends. In March I shot a wedding in lovely Las Vegas just the week before WPPI. This is the first spread, click on the photo to check out the rest of the layout. The ceremony was at the Bellagio and the reception at the Monte Carlo. Let me know what you think.

Here are a couple headshots of Darrell that I took down in a very cool area around LA. There are a lot of bright walls and fun textures all over the place. I can’t wait to get a bride down there!!!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms out there… We just hung out on Sunday with the kids. First we played a little in the yard with some neighbor kids. Then we went to lunch at Nordstrom’s Cafe, very excellent by the way. There we ran into one of recent brides, check her out at my “Featured Wedding” this month. After lunch settled we wrapped up the evening with a quick dip!
